an excerpt from the book:
Success isn’t about how much money you make. It’s about the difference you make in people’s lives.
~ Michelle Obama
Dorothy Walters said, “Success is not a doorway, it’s a staircase.”
Based on my personal experiences in life, each step towards these stairways to success is an up and down steps best matched with these kind of attitudes, values and characters from within ourselves:
__/humility, generosity, kindness
__/respect, courtesy, honesty
__/endless patience, tenacity
__/temporary loss, back-up plan
__/broad understanding, consideration
__/caution, better judgement
/mishap, mistakes, failures, repetitions
__/fun, relax, leisure
__/strong will, wisdom
__/hard work, perseverance
__/awareness, keen observation
__/undying hope, optimism
__/courage, guts, determination
/prayers, faith, love
We can have our own definition of what success means in our lives and no one can grab that away from us.
It is only us who can define what is success in our lives: that kind of deep true happiness and fulfillment in whatever field, situation, relationship, state, stage and age in our life. How much more fulfilling and enriching, it can be if we share such success in every stage of our life with the people we care and love and those whom we continue to touch other people’s lives as a way of sharing such blessings of success.
There’s no elevator to success, we need to take the stairs. Take each steps one at a time with calm, courage, patience and determination.
“If I am in harmony with my family, that’s success.” Ute Proverb
Both harmony and health are both success in one’s life. It’s not elusive, we just have to work together with proper discipline towards it but not forgetting the simple fun of life too.
